The rules for the 2015 8th Buggy electric event are here

We are finishing the set of rules for this year event, all provisory as it is the very first year for this type of cars; for sure we will have an interesting initial event at Fehring and the experiences achieved there joined to the efforts of our National Federations will help to a definitive one by the next EFRA AGM in November.
The event timetable is on its process, and will consist in our normal scheme for a 3 days event with entries limited to 144 drivers.

Friday will be the day for Practice, normally it will be 4 runs of 8 minutes, being timed the last 5 minutes of the rounds 3 & 4 in order to reallocate drivers for qualifying.

Saturday is the Qualifying Day with 4 rounds and taking 2 out of 4 for the results as usual. Lenght of timed period will be 5 minutes, exactly the same as gas races.

Sunday will be the Final day and the day of the FINALS, all of those, even the 3 legs main final, with a racing duration of 10 minutes + last lap, so all kind of batteries will be able to make it without any problem.

Beware, we are going to use our bumping up sistem so top 4 drivers of each sub-final will progress to the next final and the schedulle is prepared to allocate all finals with enough time for charging among finals.

At all Sunday subfinals, top 4 cars will progress to the next subfinal/final level, so even with a bad qualifying day you are still able to make it on a good Sunday.

We hope you will enjoy the race.

The batteries, being an EFRA event, MUST BE ones included in the EFRA Battery Homologation Lists 2015.
We dont have yet any kind of procedures for homologation of Battery packs bigger than 2S and nevertheless such was not in place during the last months of past year, which is the standard submission period for Battery Homologation Procedures for the next season.

We at EFRA must endorse and support our own rules, and so that we have to stick to our 2015 Lists.

In regards of the rest of the rules, a minimum weight of the car of 3.200 grams and the prohibition to have the reverse activated are logical precisons to be made (actually both precisions are exactly as any other off road car of the scale at EFRA).

The Fehring Club WMW, our Austrian Member ÖFMAV and EFRA are willing to cellebrate an excellent opening event for this racing class, and hope to see all of you there, as there is no restriction in participants, you only need your car, your batteries and, of course, your EFRA Licence.
