Dear friends in the RC community.
It is with deep regret we have to inform you the passing of Finn Olav Aasen.
This extraordinary gentleman passed away in his own home on Monday Jan 18.
Many of you know Finn, he has been part of the RC community over one generation and contributed both as driver, involvement in both national and international work groups, and have also been a part of the Norwegian Section for Radio controlled Motorsport for several years.
Finn will be remembered as a person who did not say no, his positive attitude towards helping everyone who needed tips or parts, and his love for the radio controlled cars, especially 1/12 Track was close to his heart. He travelled both nationally and internationally to be able to do what he loved to do the most, meet his friends and have as much fun as possible on the track.
We feel with his family in this time of sorrow.
The section respects the family’s wish to ask the drivers and friends who will send Finn some last words to use the official threads on Facebook to send their wishes.
There will be an international thread on the EFRA FB-page. This is because they have so many issues that needs to be taken care of at this time, and we hope everyone will honour that wish.
