EFRA Ambassador Gilbert Dognon is here with his first blog post of 2022!
Just like EFRA, at Devalliet we have been very busy during the winter season. We took the opportunity to make the MUGELLO model usable in all weathers conditions with a heated windshield, an Alpaga hood and doors. We also presented our car in several shows:
- Salon Epoquauto de Lyon, an international fair that has received nearly 80,000 spectators
- 2 Roues show in Lyon also, the second most important show in Europe after Milan with 75,000 spectators
- Retromobile International Motor Show in Paris is also one of the major motor shows with 100,000 visitors.
For RC, racing for me resumed in Grenoble with the first round of the French championship in the very popular GT8 category. This allowed us to highlight once again the links with 1/1 motorsport.
For example, Cedric PREVOT, the former large scale champion of France started racing in the GT8 category, and for this first race at Grenoble he received the support of Bernard and Damien CHAMBEROD, the 2021 vice-champions of the French hill climbing championship.
Watching 1/1 racers take an interest in scale motorsport was great to see, as both the scale and full-size racers understand there is a large crossover of racing technology and driving finesse, which is required at high-level competitions in all scales.
