Luxembourg - Round 3 Update

It's still sunny!
Round 3 of qualifying has now been completed here at the Mini Circuit Ville de Luxembourg.

Current pole sitter Dario Balestri (IT) didn't improve his time. He said he used the run to test some different tires which he said were not good. Issues for Robert Pietsch (DE) also prevented him improving, however he remains second overall and therefore pole in the B Semi Final. Third placed Eric Dankel (DE) also failed to improve.
Rick Vrielijnck (NL) improved by 6 seconds to move himself up to fourth. The popular Dutch racer said that he couldn't believe the time he set as he had made no changes and his car felt loose and slow!

This pushed Michele Romagnoli (IT) down to fifth and Robin D'Hondt to sixth.

Lamberto Collari, the 9 time World Champion in this class, found some improvement and moved up a place to 7th.
Rounding out the top 10 are Simon Kurbach (CH), Tobias Hepp (DE) and Ilia Van Gastel (BE). With just one qualifying round left, grey clouds are gathering which many expect will lower the tack temperature. These cooler conditions could well enable drivers to find a bit more grip around this challenging circuit. With no drivers qualifying directly into the main final this year, following a rule change at the EFRA AGM, everyone is hoping to get a good starting place in the Semi Finals to allow them to race their way in.
