1/8th Euros Semi Final Update

Both pole sitters take easy victories
First up was the B semi final. Pole sitter Robert Pietsch from Germany held the lead from the start and just continued to pull away from the field. Eric Dankel started second but dropped to fourth in the first half of the race but battled back to second by the end. Robin D'Hondt ran second for much of the race before being passed by Dankel in the last 5 minutes. Rick Vrielijnck started from the 11th position after breaking an engine in warm up and calling for a 10 minute delay. Clearly his replacement Novarossi unit was not short on power as he moved up to fourth by the checkered flag. Michael Salven (5th) and Adrian Berntsen (6th) have to wait to see if they are fast enough to move up as fastest losers.
In the A Semi Final, Dario Balestri (Italy) also let every lap. The battle was for second place between Lamberto Collari, Ilia Van Gastel and Michele Romagnoli. After many position changes, Romagnoli took second, Van Gastel third and Collari fourth. Simon Kurzbuch and Oliver Mack finished fifth and sixth and again wait to see if their times are fast enough to make it into the main final. Stay tuned to www.EFRA.ws for more news from the main final later!
