Prumper Powers to top Practise

Young German driver surprises in final heat!
Practise has now concluded here in Austria, and it was Yannic Prumper who set the fastest time with his Thunder Power-powered Yokomo. With the drivers being seeded based on their fastest two consectuive laps, Yannic only completed 2 laps in the final run. Talking to Yannic's mechanic, Toni Rheinard, after the run, he said they pulled the car off as they wanted to save the tires for Qualifying and hadn't realised how much quicker new rubber would be.
Behind Yannic was fellow German Marc Rheinard. Also running Thunder Power LiPos, the two Germans were the only to dip below 31 seconds for the combined 2 lap time.

Jilles Groskamp (pictured) admitted he was surprised to take third, saying he had thought he was still lacking some pace earlier this morning. The Dutch driver had not been to the track to practise before the event, so started with a car setup Marc Rheinard was running and has used the practise rounds to get himself used to the track and tweak the setup on his Orion powered Tamiya to his own liking.
Ronald Volker was disappointed to drop to fourth with his LRP powered Yokomo. The top 5 was completed by RC Racing TV's favourite Doctor, Swedish Driver Alex Hagberg with his similarly powered Xray.

But the practise results count for absolutely nothing and so drivers will now turn their attention to ensuring their cars are quick for a 5 minute run.
