2011 EFRA Touring Car Euros - A Final Leg 1

Pole to flag victory for Rheinard!
Marc Rheinard has taken a relatively easy victory in the first leg of the A Final. The top qualifier led from the start, but suffered early pressure from Yannic Prumper and Ronald Volker through the early laps.

But as the race progressed, Marc started to pull out a small gap. A mistake from Ronald saw Yannic left as Marc's only real challenger, but the German teenager was not able to get close enough to his fellow countryman and 3-time World Champion.
After the race, Marc admitted it was a fairly easy win, once the pressure was off after the first few laps he knew he just had to drive carefully and not make any mistakes to take the win.

Yannic said that the early attention of Ronald meant he had to defend to start with, but following Volker's mistake, he tried to push as much as possible to catch Marc, but ultimately fell short.
Behind these three, Viktor Wilck and Jilles Groskamp had a good battle for fourth, even managing to challenge Volker for a short time. But on the tight twisty track passing moves were few and far between, as the drivers instead tried to pressure the car infront into a mistake.

Steen Graversen finished sixth, followed by Chrissi Krapp, Andy Moore, Alexander Hagberg and Marc Fischer.
