In the picture: the remains of a motor after homologation…
All the EFRA homologated Brushless motors are listed on the homologation pages:
Updates: 05-10-2024Β www.efra.ws/rules-regulations/homologation/
35 measurements are recorded for each motor.
Shafts have to be extracted from the rotor, to ensure the magnet bore is correct.
End laminates have to be stripped of hysol to ensure no chamfers.
End plate assemblies have to be stripped to check all sensors.
Collector rings need to be cut in pieces to check the material.
Wires have to be stripped of lacquer and carefully straightened to ensure accurate measurement of diameter.
All measurements on wires, rotors and laminates are to within one (1) micron.
